NHHS Band New Orleans Trip 2024
NHHS Band to New Orleans, LA – April 3-7, 2024
Parents,
The NHHS Band will be offering a wonderful performing, social, and educational experience this coming Spring. From April 3-7, 2024, we will be in New Orleans, LA for a four night, five day trip. The trip will include participating in a National Music Festival, the National D-Day Museum, a swamp/airboat tour, Mardi Gras world with mask making, Plantation Tour, the French Quarter, and a Masquerade Ball dinner and dance awards ceremony in Mardi Gras world where all of the floats and decorations are created and housed.
All instructional time missed has been approved by the administration and school board and is in compliance with the Henderson County School System’s regulations on overnight and out of state travel. The absences will not be counted against their yearly total and all work will be allowed to be made up with full academic credit.
Departing NHHS: (est.) 8am on Wednesday, April 3
Returning to NHHS: (est.) 9pm on Sunday, April 7
Performance Location: TBA in New Orleans, LA
Traveling Via: Young Transportation
Accommodations: TBA, on our last trip we stayed in a Hilton.
Food and Beverage: Meals and souvenirs are the only expenses not included in the price for each student/chaperone, with exception of the awards ceremony.
Costs: $852 per student

*The final payment will be adjusted for students based on the disbursement of Booster funds to each students’ account, which will be the amount of funds raised prior to the end of February split evenly between each student. It will be lower than this, which will lower the total cost, but the exact amount is unknown at this time.
Past January 1st, all money is non-refundable
Chaperone Cost (per person):
4 person room - $852
3 person room - $984
2 person room - $1,252
Chaperone Cost will be lower than the numbers quoted above. The amount of chaperones who attend and profit from fundraisers will determine how much lower.
Assistance: The North Henderson Band Boosters do offer financial assistance on a need basis. In order to be considered for assistance the student must request assistance by contacting Mr. Sigmon directly. Mr. Sigmon will take any requests to the Executive Board who will make the final decision on any possible financial help.
